RCMP say a police operation on Argyle Street near McKenzie Avenue in Moncton has concluded.
Residents in the area have been told they can resume their activities.
RCMP say there will still be a police presence in the area since the investigation is ongoing.
Police say they will share more information when they can.
Earlier today, RCMP asked people to avoid the area and tweeted the following at 10:35 a.m., “At this time, the incident does not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message.”
“An Alert Ready message will be issued should there be a need.”
