Another First Degree Murder Charge Laid In Teen’s Death

A third man has been charged in the death of 18-year-old Joedin Leger of Moncton.

Twenty-three-year old Jerek John England was arrested in Moncton on Thursday in connection with the investigation.

He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on June 17 and was charged with first degree murder.

Eighteen-year-old Riley Robert Sheldon Philips and 20-year-old Hunter Nash England, both of Moncton are also charged with first degree murder in Leger’s death.

All three remain in custody and will return to court on June 27 at 11 a.m.

Leger suffered gunshot wounds at a home on Logan Lane on April 25th, 2022.

He was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
