Riverview Town Council has elected a new deputy mayor.
Longtime Ward 4 Councillor Wayne Bennett will serve a one year term and has served in the role previously.
The deputy mayor is called upon to represent the mayor at public events or to chair council meetings when the mayor is not available.
Riverview Mayor Andrew LeBlanc thanked Ward 3 Councillor Jeremy Thorne for serving as the most recent deputy mayor.
