Moncton Flyers Clinch National Championship

The Moncton Flyers have become the first team from New Brunswick to win the Telus Cup.

Moncton downed the Cantonniers de Magog from Quebec 5-4 in overtime in Sunday’s final.

Jack Martin scored the game-winning goal for Moncton just 40 seconds into overtime.

The Flyers finished the national under-18 hockey tournament undefeated with seven wins in seven games.

Moncton defeated Halifax in the final of the Atlantic Major U18 Championship last month to advance to the national championship.
