Limit Visits To Dumont ER – Health Authority

The Vitalité Health Network is asking residents to limit their visits to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital emergency department to emergency cases only.

Officials say this temporary measure is due to a lack of nursing staff and overcrowding in the hospital.

The emergency department remains available for those who need urgent care and who wish to see a doctor.

But non-urgent cases may be referred elsewhere or you could be asked to return the following day.

If the health condition is not critical, Vitalité urges patients to see their family doctor, a community pharmacist or call Tele-Care (811).
