A 73-year-old man from Riverview is facing child pornography-related charges.
An investigation began in March 2021 as a proactive effort by the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
Mounties searched a home in Riverview last June and a man was arrested at the scene but later released on strict conditions.
Police also seized several electronic devices from the home.
Terrance Steeves was charged with two offences on Thursday in Moncton Provincial Court – possession of child pornography and making child pornography available.
He is scheduled to be back in court on May 20.
New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit includes members from the Saint John and Kennebecasis Regional Police Forces.
The RCMP’s Digital Forensic Services Unit and members from Codiac RCMP assisted with the investigation.
