Freezing Rain Across Region Closes Schools

Schools across the region, Anglophone East, Anglophone North and Francophone South are closed today due to weather conditions.

Four to eight hours of freezing rain are expected mixed with ice pellets over Southern and central New Brunswick.

A freezing rain warning remains in effect for areas including Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, Fredericton and Sussex.

Motorists are advised to slow down, because of icy and slippery conditions.

Snowfall and winter storm warnings have been issued for the northern parts of the province with up to 20 centimetres of snow expected.

Rainfall warnings are in effect for southwestern regions, including Saint John and Charlotte counties.
