Three people were arrested after a hit and run involving a cyclist in Moncton.
Codiac RCMP responded to a collision on Elmwood Drive between a pickup truck and a cyclist around 9:30 on Friday night.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with what were believed to be serious, non life-threatening injuries.
Around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday during a traffic stop on Churchill Street, officers found a vehicle which matched the description of the pickup truck.
A 29-year-old Sainte-Anne-de-Kent man was arrested and released with a court date on June 8.
A second person was arrested on another matter while a third person was released.
“Codiac Regional RCMP officers and specialized policing units worked collaboratively to determine a description of the suspect vehicle,” says Staff Sgt. Dave MacDonnell, with the Codiac Regional RCMP.
“This allowed us to quickly arrest those involved.”
