N.B. Reports COVID-Hospitalizations Up Three

New Brunswick health officials are seeing a slight increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The number of patients in the hospital connected to the virus is 89 which is an increase of three from Tuesday.

Of that total, 45 individuals were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 while 44 were admitted for other reasons.

Eight patients require intensive care while three patient is on a ventilator.

The number of health care workers who are isolating related to COVID-19 has increased to 561.

The province recorded 386 PCR tests with positive results and 579 rapid tests.

The active case count on Tuesday was 3,633.

Public Health reported no deaths in its latest COVID-19 dashboard update.

In terms of vaccinations, 87.1 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have had both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine while 50.1 per cent have had a booster shot.
