UPDATE: Salisbury Road Accident Involving Car And School Bus

Salisbury Road has now reopened after an accident between Ontario Drive and Upper Mountain Road on Monday morning.

The accident between a car and a school bus happened just after 8am Monday morning.

Spokesperson for the Anglophone East School District Stephanie Patterson says the accident involved one of their school buses.

In an email, Patterson told us, “An oncoming car, went into a spin and the bus pulled to the shoulder of the road, and the car hit the bus head on. We have all emergency services in place. We have additional busses there for the children.”

The bus driver and the children had no visible injuries and were checked over by Paramedics as a precaution.

Other buses were sent to the accident scene to pick up the students and take them to school.

Patterson says families of students were also contacted.

We have a call out to RCMP for more details.

There’s no word yet on whether or not the driver of the car was injured.
