The Codiac Regional RCMP and Codiac Crime Reduction Unit arrested a man and seized a large amount of prescription pills and cash following a break, enter and theft in Moncton.
In a news release issued on Thursday, Mounties said they received a report of a break, enter, and theft at a pharmacy on Mountain Road on Dec. 18. A large quantity of prescription pills was stolen.
Four days later, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Wesley Street in connection with the break, enter and theft investigation.
During the search, police seized a large quantity of prescription pills and over $13,000 in Canadian currency.
A 39-year old Moncton man was arrested at the scene. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court at a later date.
