N.B. Reports 133 COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths

New Brunswick Public Health reported 133 new cases of COVID-19, 154 recoveries, and two virus-related deaths on Saturday.

Two people, one in their 60s, the other in their 80s, both from the Miramichi region have died.

Of the new cases, 18 are in the Moncton region, 60 are in the Saint John area, 24 are in the Fredericton health zone, six are in the Edmundston region, three are in the Campbellton area, seven are in the Bathurst health zone, and 15 are in the Miramichi region.

There are 1,232 active cases across the province, 336 in the Saint John region, 411 in the Fredericton area, and 219 in the Moncton health zone.

40 people are being treated in hospital due to the virus, 13 require an ICU, one is on a ventilator.

82.6 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated, 89.3 per cent have received their first dose, and 12.8 have received a booster dose.
