Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick early Monday afternoon.
A storm system is bringing snow today with some mixed precipitation – ice pellets and freezing rain – possibly tonight.
Up to 20 centimetres is likely before the precipitation tapers off overnight.
In addition to the snowfall warning, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for a number of areas, including:
- Acadian Peninsula
- Fundy National Park
- Grand Lake and Queens County
- Kent County
- Kouchibouguac National Park
- Miramichi and area
- Saint John and County
- Sussex – Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County
Since this is the first major snowfall of the season for many areas, drivers are being urged to use caution as road conditions change quickly throughout the province.
More information about the roads can be found HERE.
