Second Man Charged In Connection With Mountain Road Shooting

A second individual has been charged with nine offences including attempted murder following a shooting on Mountain Road in Moncton.

A 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he was shot in front of a bar on November 3rd.

Twenty-four-year-old Colton Benjamin Stiles was arrested three days later on Paul Street in Dieppe.

He appeared in court on November 10th and was charged with:

  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated assault
  • Discharging a firearm with intent
  • Unsafe storage of firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Unauthorized possession in motor vehicle
  • Possession of weapon obtained by crime
  • Weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization

He is being held in custody and will return to court on November 17th. An 18-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident.
