Slight Changes In Fuel Prices This Week

Some New Brunswick drivers will be paying more to fill up their vehicle’s fuel tank on Thursday.

The maximum price for regular self-serve is now $1.501 per litre across the province.

That is an increase of 0.9 cents after the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

Analysts had been predicting that the price of gas could fall this week.

Diesel remained steady and is now selling for a maximum of $1.552 per litre, a drop of 0.1 cents.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

This time last year, regular self-serve was selling for a maximum of 95.8 cents per litre, while the most you were paying for diesel was 98.6 cents per litre.

Meanwhile, the price for furnace oil fell by 0.3 cents to a new maximum of $1.373 per litre.

Propane also fell to $1.269 per litre, a drop of nearly one cent per litre.

Fuel prices are reset every Wednesday night in New Brunswick.
