Coats For Kids Seeks Donations

The weather is slowly turning colder and that means it’s time for Moncton Headstart to launch its annual Coats for Kids campaign.

The program aims to help serve children in Greater Moncton who otherwise would not have access to warm winter clothing.

In 2020, Coats for Kids served over 600 children in the community.

Donations of new or gently used winter outerwear can be dropped off at the Moncton Headstart office, 1111 Mountain Road, or any of the following Greater Moncton Jean Coutu locations:

  • 1789 Mountain Road
  • 404 St. George Street
  • 438 Coverdale Road
  • 123 Champlain Street

For those looking to access the program, Coats for Kids will take place by appointment from November 2 to 5.

This program is designed to serve children, youth and teens.

To register, visit www.monctonheadstart.com or call the office at 506-858-8252.

To be able to offer this program, Moncton Headstart has collaborated with local companies and organizations including Jean Coutu, the Capitol Theater and the Women’s Progress Club of Greater Moncton.
