N.B. Reports 73 New COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths

On Sunday, New Brunswick Public Health reported 73 new COVID-19 cases.

Of the new cases, 45 are unvaccinated, eight are partially vaccinated, and 20 are fully vaccinated.

There are 19 new cases the Moncton region, 10 new cases in the Saint John region, 13 new cases in the Fredericton zone, eight new cases in the Edmundston area, 19 new cases in the Campbellton region, two new cases in the Bathurst area, and two new cases in the Miramcihi region.

There are two more virus-related deaths, a person in their 70s from the Moncton region, and a person in their 80s from the Fredericton region.

There are 53 people hospitalized due to the virus, with 22 in an intensive care unit.

Of those in hospital, 42 are unvaccinated, three are partially vaccinated, and eight are fully vaccinated.

The active caseload in the province now stands at 962, after 38 more recoveries.

81.4 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated, and 90.6 per cent have received their first dose of a vaccine.
