About 30 Protest Vaccine Rules At Brewpub

A group of about 30 individuals held a protest outside the Tide and Boar Brewpub in Moncton on Friday night.

The group asked the establishment at Main Street and Vaughan Harvey Boulevard not to follow provincially mandated regulations surrounding COVID-19 vaccines.

Since September 22, the provincial government has required proof of full vaccination when accessing certain events, services and businesses and mandatory masking in all public indoor spaces.

In a Facebook post, the owner of the pub said not following the rules could lead to fines of up to $20,400.

The owner said the protestors were not peaceful, scaring away other guests and vandalizing the property by covering parts of it with offensive posters.

The post goes on to say the business does not stand for or accept discrimination of any kind and is only trying to survive after a difficult two years.

The post also urges people to be respectful and protest at appropriate places.
