You’ll need to seek shade and a cool place this week.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for areas including Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick and Kent county.

It is expected to continue through until Saturday.

Daily highs in the upper 20’s and into the thirties, with the humidex as high as 39.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
