UPDATE: Swimming Now Permitted At Parlee And Murray Beaches

If you were looking to beat the heat today, head to the beach.

Provincial beaches are now all open for swimming.

A ‘No swim advisory’ was posted on August 9th at Parlee and Murray Beaches, but that was updated on August 10th.

The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health receives and reviews water quality monitoring results for ecoli bacterial levels.

When levels are below guideline values, the water is open and suitable for swimming.

When levels are above guideline values, a “No Swimming” advisory is in effect. In this case, the public is warned that the water is not suitable for swimming.

Advisories are updated regularly on the Government of New Brunswick Public Health website.
