Vacant Shediac Road Home Extensively Damaged By Fire

A challenging fire for the Moncton Fire Department at a boarded up house on Shediac Road in Lakeville.

Platoon Chief Brian McDonald says they arrived at around 2:40 this morning to find the back of the two and half storey vacant home on fire.

It took around four hours to battle the blaze because fire got into the walls and attic.

McDonald says it was vacant and there wasn’t a lot inside.

He says the home is extensively damaged.

Fire investigators and Codiac RCMP are on scene trying to determine a cause.
