Pandemic Motivates Student To Launch Clothing Line

A 2019 Riverview High grad has found the positive in the pandemic. Morgan Fury has created a clothing line called “Enjoy the Now.

She says she got the idea after celebrating her second COVID-19 birthday in March, “I felt as though I had wished away an entire year of my life, waiting for something. Waiting for the end of a pandemic, or a return to normalcy. It really hit me back then that we don’t get time back. We’re always waiting for something in the future and longing for the past, while forgetting to make the most of where we are right now. I felt as those this simple message resonates with a lot of people. It’s just a good reminder to live in the moment because we’re really never promised anything more.”

The “Enjoy the Now” clothing line just launched in July. So far, Fury says sales have been going very well, “This past year at school, I had taken a few graphic design classes, so I found interest there in designing. I just started playing around with the software at school and I came up with the logo and decided to get it printed on some hoodies.”

She is also selling t-shirts and tote bags with the “Enjoy the Now” logo.

Fury is currently Marketing her clothing line on Facebook and Instagram. Her hope is to also begin advertising on Tik Tok as well.

“Getting lots of support from friends and family. I would love to keep selling to the rest of the Greater Moncton area. The design is quite simple. Right now, we have white apparel and canvas beige tote bags. They are pretty versatile and would look good on pretty much anyone,” Fury says.

Fury is now in her third year at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, but she hopes to continue expanding her clothing line after she graduates.

Profits are currently going towards her tuition, but she hopes as the sales increase, she will be able to donate to local charities as well.
