Bodybuilding, A Potential Lifestyle For Any Age

This past weekend’s 2021 Atlantic Classic Championships held at the Capitol Theatre in Moncton is an inspiration for those thinking of taking up bodybuilding.

110 competitors took to the stage to show off their hard work.

Spokesperson Heather Leblanc says it is a sport you can try at any age, but you have to be willing to commit, “I think to go on stage, you definitely have to keep with the lifestyle. You have to have that four or five times a week, 24/7, live, breathe, diet, training.

She says their oldest competitor in this years championship was 63 years old.

“Definitely, you’re not too old to start. The older you get though, the harder it gets. It is a lot more awarding to see the older competitors on stage doing what they love, and showing our younger competitors what it’s all about,” Leblanc says.
