Fundy National Park Hosts Military Exercise

An exercise meant to test the navigation skills of soldiers in a challenging environment is underway at Fundy National Park.

Members from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment will be conducting a navigation exercise.

Soldiers of 2 RCR travelled from 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown to Dobson Link in the north of Fundy Park by bus.

Throughout the exercise, the soldiers will move between the Chignecto Camp Ground and Point Wolfe.

Several medium support vehicle systems, pickup trucks, and ATVs will be used for transportation.

Participants will carry rucksacks and radio equipment but will not have weapons.

The exercise continues on Friday and again on Monday, May 31st, and Friday, June 4th.

The movement of Canadian Forces vehicles and soldiers is not expected to disturb the community.
