RCMP Seize Drone, Drugs After Months Of Complaints

An investigation into complaints of a laser being pointed at airplanes led New Brunswick RCMP to a significant seizure of illegal items.

Complaints began in December 2020, leading RCMP to a residence located on Haute Aboujagane Road in Sackville.

After executing a search warrant on April 28, police noticed the presence of illicit drugs. Officers returned a day later with another warrant to search the property for drugs.

The two searches resulted in a high-powered laser, a drone with drugs and money hidden inside and a replica gun all being seized.

Among the drugs confiscated is what Police suspect is crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone pills and other prescription pills.

A 37-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were arrested at the scene. They are both set to appear in court on September 3.
