Moncton City Council Officially Passes Early Patio Openings

Patio season is officially underway in the Hub city.

With the second and third readings of the bylaw passed Sidewalk patios can officially open.

The changes will allow for another two weeks of outside service that can continue until the end of October.

In addition, for the second straight year there will be no fees for setting up shop outdoors.

The decision will cost the city around eight thousand dollars and is expected to help ease the pandemic effects on small businesses.

The bylaw was passed unanimously.
