Monique Leblanc Hoping To Be Elected Councillor-At-Large In Moncton

A former Provincial MLA is running for municipal politics.

Monique Leblanc has announced intentions to run for the role of Councillor at Large for the City of Moncton.

“I have seen my city grow and change over the past forty years and this has accelerated over the past ten years with both good and bad sides, including an ever-increasing number of homeless people and new environmental realities. Issues for which we must to work together with the citizens of Moncton to find innovative solutions.” says Leblanc.

She feels the city must work together with the residents of Moncton to find innovative solutions.

Leblanc is originally from the Parkton neighbourhood, and has been involved in her community for more than 30 years with numerous organizations in areas including health, sports, social housing and poverty.

A businesswoman, physiotherapist and educator, Monique LeBlanc was twice elected MLA for Moncton East. During her two terms, she actively worked on the development of her community, while learning more about the workings of government.

“If you elect me on May 10, I pledge to be a councillor who listens to my fellow citizens so that they can live in a city they can be even more proud of, in complete safety,” Leblanc says.
