Fatal Four Vehicle Crash Near Bouctouche

A 25-year-old man from Lavilette has died following a four-vehicle collision near Bouctouche.

RCMP say yesterday afternoon, a northbound vehicle on Route 11 crossed the centreline and collided with a transport truck.

The truck then hit a second vehicle. An SUV was also damaged while trying to avoid the collision.

The driver of the second vehicle, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

A 91-year-old woman who was driving the first vehicle, was also taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.

The drivers of the transport truck and SUV were not injured.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
