Survey Finds Pandemic Closures Lead To Home Haircuts

Hair salons and barbershops have closed their doors several times in the past year, leaving many Canadians tempted with the scissors at home.

A recent survey by Narrative Research of over over 1200 Canadians found 57 per cent have either received or given a haircut at home.

This was most common in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, but least common in New Brunswick.

The survey also found that Gen Z and Millennials were the ones most likely to have given or received haircuts at home. Boomers were the least.

The number of males who gave or received a hair cut was just slightly higher than women.
