Remembrance Day ceremonies in Greater Moncton

Remembrance Day ceremonies are planned in the Tri-communities on Monday, November 11.

The Town of Riverview will hold services at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (5 Fatima Drive) starting at 10:50 a.m.

There are three Remembrance Day ceremonies planned in Moncton.

The first is hosted by Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 and is held at the Moncton Coliseum. Guests are asked to arrive by 10 a.m.

A community ceremony will be held at Victoria Park on Weldon Street starting at 10:45.

The other, hosted by Royal Canadian Legion Branch #54 is from 11 am until noon at Sunny Brae Park on Massey Avenue.

A parade will be held prior to the ceremony.

Remembrance Day ceremonies in the City of Dieppe are being held in collaboration with the Dieppe Military Veterans Association. They’ll get underway with a parade made up of veterans, cadets and members of the RCMP at 10:30.

The parade will make its way into École Mathieu-Martin (511 Champlain Street)

Ceremonies commemorate the signing of the Armistice, formalizing the end of World War I in 1918.

A reception will follow at the Dieppe Golden Age Club (445 Acadie Avenue).
