Atlantic Canadian Craft Brew Fest Adapts To COVID-19

The Cox & Palmer Atlantic Canadian Craft Brew Fest is still happening this year, though it will look a bit different due to COVID-19.

The event is happening on November 6th and 7th and aims at highlighting a variety of craft beer, cider and mead from across Atlantic Canada.

You’ll have the option to gather with your bubble and take part in a 5-course dinner or breakfast while tasting a variety of drink pairings at Monk10.

You can even participate from home virtually with the ‘Brew Fest in a Box’.

Event organizer Amber Richards says they’re featuring 16 different craft brews this year and some exclusive products that aren’t sold in store.

“The ‘Brew Fest in a Box includes 4 brews and the accompanying foods to prepare at home, guided by a chef from Monk10,” she says.

Richards says they get feedback from participants after every event and many enjoy the opportunity to taste different products from Atlantic Canada and talk to the producers who make them.

She says it was important to keep that aspect of the festival this year, even if you’re participating virtually, with a live online Q&A.

The event has raised over 50 thousand dollars for the United Way over the last 5 years and this year their hoping to reach their goal of raising another 30 thousand.
