Downpour damages Dieppe roadway, roundabout opens

The recent heavy rainfall has forced the closure of one lane of Acadie Avenue.

The City of Dieppe says it’s in an area towards Memramcook between du Marche and Alain-Gilette Streets.

Stabilization work is underway and the lane is expected to open to traffic by the end of October.

Gauvin Road roundabout

A new roundabout in the City of Dieppe is now open to traffic.

It’s at the busy intersection of Lafrance Street and Gauvin Road.

The City says this will improve traffic flow, especially during peak hours.

Motorists will notice construction is still ongoing on Gauvin Road, between Blanchard Street and Pascal Avenue.

It is expected to continue until the end of October, and there may be some lane reductions.

Fox Creek Road

Reconstruction work on Fox Creek Road is underway and is expected to be completed by early November.
