The current Deputy Mayor of Riverview and a long time resident are teaming up for some “Town Talk”
Andrew Leblanc and Eric Lewis are launching a web series to help connect with residents on community issues.
Leblanc says he likes to stay connected, but the pandemic has limited his ability to do that in person, ‘This was just a fun alternative to be able to make sure that, for some of the really big issues that we are talking about that affect the town, I am still able to get information to residents.”
Residents can reach out via Facebook or email with their questions.
“My friend Eric and I have always been political junkies, I guess. We have always been really interested in what was going on in the community. It is something that we’re passionate about,” Leblanc says. “We just decided, what a great way to have those conversations we have, when we are hanging out. We can have them publicly so that people can hear some different perspectives.”

The first episode will be posted on their Facebook page, “Town Talk” on Monday, September 28th. Some of the issues for that episode include Halloween and the Chocolate River Station.
“We are going to do two episodes a month, where we have longer conversations about some of the things that are happening. So, it could be the Rec Complex, it could be Chocolate River station. It could be Harvest Festival, or it could be any of the things that are happening in the Town of Riverview that residents are talking about,” Leblanc says.
In between the two episodes each month, there will be shorter featurette kind of episodes, highlighting areas in Riverview.
“We are looking for feedback from residents. If there are questions we leave unanswered in an episode, or if there are issues we haven’t discussed, please ask and we will address those in a future episode,” Leblanc says.
