Fire Displaces Students In Sackville

No word on the extent of damage yet, after a fire in Sackville’s downtown last night.

The Town says firefighters battled a blaze in a building near the Bridge and Main Street intersection.

It broke out shortly after 9pm on Tuesday night.

The Town says everyone in the building is accounted for and safe and temporary accommodations were arranged for residents for the night.

Mount Allison University is also offering assistance because this affected off campus student housing.

In a post on Facebook, the University says they have been in touch with those affected, and are offering additional supports as needed.
