NB Liberals To Offer Home Incentive Program If Elected

A Liberal government, if elected, would help those who need home renovations, but are struggling to afford it.

During a stop in Oromocto today, Leader Kevin Vickers told supporters, they will introduce an incentive program with a focus on energy efficiency, “Under a home renovation incentive program, the government will contribute 50 per cent of the costs for home renovations to a maximum of $2500 per household.”

He says making living spaces more energy efficient is good for the environment and helps individuals reduce monthly bills.

“It will also spur economic activity throughout New Brunswick. Small contractors would see a kickstart to their business, and hardware store would see an increase in sales,” added Vickers.

Working together under a Liberal government will help our economy rebound in the short term and grow to new heights in the medium and long-term, Vickers says. “Our Liberal team will transform our economy to bring good jobs and good salaries to New Brunswickers in all regions.”

“Many New Brunswickers have felt financial pressures and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but need to make renovations to their home”, explained Vickers. “The Home Renovation Incentive Program will lower monthly bills for people and reduce energy consumption.”
