Cineplex To Reopen Trinity Location After Closure Due To COVID-19

There’s good news for movie lovers in Moncton.

Cineplex is reopening at its Trinity location tonight.

Spokesperson Sarah Van Lange says this is the first time in over four months they’ll have new Hollywood movies.

There are five Cineplex locations across the province, that closed March 16th due to COVID-19.

Saint John, Fredericton and Dieppe reopened on July 3rd.

Miramichi will follow next week.

Van Lange says they are encouraging the purchase of tickets online in advance, unless you have passes.

She adds, seats will be assigned in pairs when the tickets are purchased.

In an effort to ensure physical distancing, they have reduced their capacity by 60 to 80 per cent.

Van Lange says there will be concessions available, but it will be the basics with popcorn, soft drinks and candy.

She says moviegoers can also expect a little bit of a longer wait to get in.

Customers are being encouraged to wear masks.
