Food donations for annual Purolator Tackle Hunger campaign

If you live in Dieppe, you may have received a red bag on your doorstep over the weekend.

It’s for the collection of non-perishable food items in support of Food Depot Alimentaire.

It’s all part of the annual Purolator Tackle Hunger Red Bag campaign.

Around 200 red bags were dropped off. Residents are asked to fill them up Purolator couriers will pick them up from your doorstep on September 23.

Food Depot Alimentaire’s most needed items are:
• Fresh fruit, vegetables etc.
• Canned goods including soup, fruit, vegetables, beans etc.
• Canned lunch meat
• Dried pasta, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, Mr. Noodles etc.
• Cereal, oatmeal and granola bars
• Instant pudding, apple sauce and peanut butter
• Sugar, tea, coffee, juice and juice boxes
• Diapers (especially larger sizes), baby food and formula

For the last 21 years, Purolator Tackle Hunger has delivered more than 22 million pounds of food to Canadian food banks.
