Roughly one week after being diagnosed with COVID-19, reports say UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now in the Intensive care unit in hospital.
Johnson posted to Twitter earlier today, to say he was admitted to a London hospital on the advice of his doctor. He was to undergo some routine tests, but he said he was in good spirits.
Reports say over the course of the afternoon, his symptoms worsened, and he was moved to ICU.
First Secretary of State Dominic Raab will assume Johnson’s role while he remains in intensive care.
