Greater Moncton Dragon Boat Festival Cancelled For 2020

An annual event that raises money for a 24 area charities has been cancelled for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Greater Moncton Dragonboat Festival, that was scheduled to happen on May 29 and 30 on Jones Lake, has been cancelled.

Last year, the festival raised $81, 000 for the Lions Sick Children’s Fund and $52, 000 for 23 other area charities.

Registration fees can be refunded, carried forward to 2021 or donated to the Lion’s Sick Children’s Fund.
