Canadians can now apply for the Emergency Response Benefit.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says you can sign up online and a first direct deposit will be received within 3 days while a mailed cheque will take 10.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also put out a call for volunteers to assist healthcare workers.
“Health Canada is building an inventory of specialized volunteers that provinces and territories can draw on,” Trudeau says. “This could include tracking cases and tracign contact as well as collecting and reporting date.”
Additionally, the federal government is offering full time jobs to all reservists in Canadian forces.
“We’re contacting reservists across the country to see if they’re interested, and offering the same pay and benefits as regular force personnel for the coming months,” says Trudeau.
