Man Arrested, Weapons Seized After Dieppe Incident

Codiac RCMP have seized numerous weapons after an incident in Dieppe which led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man.

Police responded to a home on Copp Street in the Lakeburn area on Wednesday afternoon where a man with a firearm was threatening to harm himself.

Officers eventually convinced the man to come out peacefully and he was apprehended and taken to hospital.

Mounties carried out a search warrant at the home on Thursday and seized the following items:

  • Crystal methamphetamine
  • An undisclosed amount of Canadian currency
  • Three assault rifles
  • Two hunting rifles
  • A sawed-off rifle
  • Two revolvers
  • A handgun
  • Brass knuckles
  • Various gun parts

RCMP say the man remains in hospital and the investigation continues.
