Organigram Expected To Temporarily Reduce Staff Due To COVID-19

Temporary layoffs at Organigram are expected due to COVID-19.

In a news release, the Moncton-based cannabis producer says it expects its workforce will be reduced as a result of voluntary and company-imposed layoffs, due to social distancing.

It also states this will result in production and packaging reductions.

The Company plans to reallocate its remaining workforce as needed.

“We continue to monitor this rapidly changing situation and will make the decisions necessary to ensure the safest environment for our employees and their families as well as protecting the best interests of our business and our stakeholders,” said Greg Engel, Chief Executive Officer.
