A 43-year-old Moncton man has been sentenced to 37 months in prison for charges stemming from an investigation by the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit that began in late 2016.
Cory Laurie Joseph LeBlanc was convicted of possessing, sharing and accessing child pornography and he was also sentenced for breaching conditions related to the offences and failing to make a court appearance.
Police made an arrest in January 2019 after carrying out a search warrant at a Moncton home.
Cory LeBlanc has been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for life.
Following his release from prison, he will have to abide by several court-ordered conditions for 20 years, including not be around children.
