Major Drop In NB Fuel Prices After Interrupter Clause Used

A major dip in gas prices this morning, earlier than usual.

The Energy and Utilities Board used the interrupter clause overnight.

This is due to to big shifts in the market prices.

The maximum price of regular self serve gas is down by 10.3 cents a litre.

Diesel and furnace oil are down over eight cents a litre.

The usual weekly adjustment will be made tonight at midnight.

Original predictions for tonight’s adjustment, were that fuel prices would dip by up to six cents.

That may change with the decision to invoke the interrupter clause.
