Moncton emergency alerts sent in error

Moncton Alerts Dashboard subscribers may have received a few unusual alerts from the City of Moncton early Wednesday.

The subjects of those road and flooding alerts were, “Hazard: Centennial Park Rd”, “Hazard: Grand Trunk Rd”, and Flooding: NB 114 – Moncton”.

The alerts arrived via email or text.

The City of Moncton has confirmed these were sent in error due to a server reboot.

“The issue has now been fixed and we apologize for any confusion this error may have caused,” stated a follow-up email to all subscribers.
