A 17-year-old from Moncton was charged following a search at a home in the community.
Shortly after 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Ivy Road, in connection with am ongoing investigation that began in October 2019.
During the search, police seized a quantity of marijuana, as well as a prohibited firearm, weapons and ammunition.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and held in custody. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on February 19th andcharged with:
- possession of a prohibited weapon (two counts)
- possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition
- unsafe storage of a firearm
- possession of cannabis with intent to distribute
- mischief under $5,000
He was released with conditions and is scheduled to return to Moncton Provincial Court on March 18.
