Teen killed in ATV crash on Trans-Canada Highway

A 15-year-old boy from Berry Mills has died after a collision involving a car and an ATV.

RCMP say the crash happened on Thursday afternoon on Highway 2 in Moncton.

Sgt. Ricky LeBlond says it’s believed the ATV collided with a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of the highway.

The driver of the ATV was taken to hospital, where he later died. The three occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

Moncton Fire, Ambulance New Brunswick and RCMP assisted at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway were closed for several hours following the collision as the investigation was ongoing.
