School Changing Its Name To Create Cohesion

The JMA Armstrong Salisbury Middle school is working on a name change.

Roberta Brewer says the 5 to 12 facility is often viewed as two separate entities.

“They would like to have the name changed to reflect the school as a whole,” she says.

She says they’ve struck a committee to come up with a list of about 10 new names for the school.

They will then poll the school community to see which one they prefer.

Brewer says students are proud to be from Salisbury and have already expressed that they would like to keep that aspect in the name.
