If you are crossing the Gunningsville Bridge at night, you may notice it’s a little darker than usual.
Several of the lights are out, due to copper wiring being vandalized or stolen last month.
Spokesperson for the Department of Transportation Jeremy Trevors says RCMP were notified and are investigating.
He adds that due to the extent of the damage and weather conditions, it could take weeks before the lights are fixed.
RCMP are also investigating other incidents of copper wiring being stolen from the area.
The YMCA of Greater Moncton had wiring stolen from several light poles twice last year.
Other businesses and schools in the community have also been targeted by thieves looking for the copper wiring.
