A winter storm is expected to impact travel plans as we enter 2020.
Environment Canada has continued a special weather statement for Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.
A mix of snow and ice pellets will likely begin around noon Tuesday and as temperatures rise later in the day, a risk of freezing rain is possible in the evening with rain around midnight.
Meteorologist Darin Borgel says if you have plans for New Year’s Eve, you’ll want to keep an eye on the storm.
“It’s significant mainly for the timing. With New Year’s Eve festivities, a lot of people are outdoors or travelling around so certainly take some extra caution.”
Greater Moncton could receive up to 14 cm of mixed precipitation.
Snowfall warnings have been posted for central and northern New Brunswick with possibly 15 to 25 cm snow for those areas.
